KILLICK Roy

Mr and Mrs Killick came to Gnowangerup about 1936 when Roy took up work with garage proprietors and engineers, Jackson and Webb.
He later, during the last war went into business on his own account, working in a garage next to his house in McDonald Street.
It was during these years his skill as a mechanic was most valuable to farmers in the area. With parts and new machinery hard to come by, Roy was a wizard with the adaption and repair to keep machines on the road and efficient in the paddock.
His first job in this country embraced windmill maintenance in the North-West when that area was very much in the pioneering stage.
One of Roy's jobs in Gnowangerup was to keep the current Doctor's car in good order.
Roy was a  quiet, independent, and genuine man.
